Yung Berg born Christian Ward, is better known by his stage name Hitmaka. He is an American record producer, songwriter, rapper and singer. Ward had been previously signed to DMX’s Bloodline Records as Iceberg but then signed to Epic Records.

His debut single was “Sexy Lady”, which features R&B singer Junior released in April 2007. His debut album Look What You Made Me was released in 2008.

Cash “Wack 100” Jones – alleged via Instagram that Yung Berg is an “exposed homosexual” after he says he walked in on the 28-year-old rapper and a teenage boy engaging in sexual acts.

“What you and that lil teenager was doing was out of line next time lock the Fuckn door nigga,” said Jones, who manages Berg’s Love & Hip Hop castmate Ray J.

“No disrespect to the gay community there was greats that did it but the problem I got with @hitmaka is you running around here with our Black women putting them at risk,” Jones added.

Berg addressed the gay rumors today (December 19) in an interview on Sway in The Morning.

“No, I am not gay. I’ve never thought about being gay,” said Berg. “Let’s go a little further. Wack 100 has never, ever been in any recording studio with Yung Berg in my entire life… He’s 100 percent lying. He’s a grown man liar. I think he’s trying to get on Love & Hip Hop season 2. He might want to take my spot.”

Berg also called out his “Sexy Can I” collaborator Ray J for not coming to his defense.

“God bless Ray,” Berg says. “He’s got his own issues. Maybe he didn’t step up because he’s dealing with his own cases. But I’m a grown-ass man. You’re not gonna talk shit about my manhood and not see me come to Sway In The Morning and clear the air.”

Berg was arrested in New York City in November for allegedly attacking his girlfriend over a child support dispute.

Yung Berg Arrested | Arrested For Domestic Violence

He is considered a delinquent parent by the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services, which has published information on Yung Berg’s failure to pay child support. As of this date his amount owed in past-due child support is $104,962 for one child.

On August 23, 2008, it was reported and confirmed[by whom?] that Yung Berg had been ambushed by Detroit, Michigan, rapper Trick-Trick and his entourage in his club and had his signature “Transformers chain” taken.

But on August 26, 2008, Trick-Trick denied having anything to do with the altercation, and claimed to have saved Yung Berg from the altercation. On December 16, 2011, Berg explained the altercation by stating he didn’t want to go to Trick-Trick’s club since a member of his entourage had a problem with him, but somehow ended up there.

“I was like 30 deep, I went in the club & I went to the back because I had the number one record at the time”, he said, stating that he wanted a free bottle. “The co-owner come back & he said, My partner Trick-Trick said ain’t no love for you on those bottles. I was like, your partner? Hold on. So now we’re in Trick-Trick’s club, I come to find out, the same club that I didn’t wanna go to & perform. Now, I’m in the club. I’m like 5’6, 150 pounds. I come out there and the whole club security surrounds me. They whooped my ass through the club, the security. My entourage was all around us and they were getting their asses whooped too!”

On October 5, 2010, United Kingdom rapper Rowdy T announced that he had taken His “Batman chain” and called Yung Berg a snitch for reporting it to police. But during an interview, he announced that he had done no such thing and the chain wasn’t anything important to him.

On some real shit back in the day when I was buying those big ass chains and shit, I felt like that was a part of me being Yung Berg. But me growing up & being Christian, being Mr. Ward, and who I really I am, I toned down. Yung Berg Blows Weed Charge Off His Record… 9 Years Later!!!

Yung Berg finally took care of business in his weed case … took him 9 years to get it done, but IT. GOT. DONE.

The rapper got busted in October 2017 after cops responded for an altercation in the Miami hotel where Berg was staying. Cops ran the ‘Love & Hip Hop’ star’s record, and found he had a warrant for blowing off a court date from a weed bust 9 years ago … so they arrested him.

Six months later, law enforcement sources tell us the weed charge, a misdemeanor, was dismissed after YB kept his nose clean and completed 8 hours of community service at an Atlanta rehab center.

Case closed.
