Yelawolf Best Friend Lyrics

[Verse 1 – Yelawolf:]
Ain’t never been much of the church type
But I believe in the last days
I walk through Hell almost every night
But I believe it’s a pathway
Say, boy, what you doin’ with your life
With those tattoos on your face?
Say, boy, you know that you’ll pay the price
Well, I guess I’ll see when I head that way
[Hook – Yelawolf:]
To the father son and holy spirit
I hold you nearest
My best friend, best friend
Let the trumpets blow with your appearance
I can almost hear it
My best friend, best friend
When you wish me Hell upon my soul and spirit
Behold these lyrics
I got a best friend, best friend
Yeah, I got a best friend, best friend, yeah
[Verse 2 – Yelawolf:]
I don’t know much about Holy Bibles
But I grew up in the Bible Belt
I put my love for a woman on idle
Because I got beat with my mama’s belt
But I learned from my mistakes
Try hard to respect people for what they believing in
But if you spit on my fucking grave
And wish me Hell then I wish you well
I’m sending you straight up to my best friend
[Verse 3 – Eminem:]
God, please could you arm me with the armor
To calm me when there’s drama like Gandhi
Could have gone the other way many times
Could have turned Dalai with the lama
But I squashed my beef and things seem to be looking decent recently,
But don’t jinx it
It’s like Clint Eastwood looking for peace
Though maybe not finna enta’ the priesthood,
But at least should make an attempt to show some remorse
And to be some sorta repenter
For the people, I’ve been a menace ta’
Not a preacher, but a shit starter and finisher
Enta’ the mind of a thick-skinned, but a short temper
This patience of mine is thinner
Than twine is when I get attacked
So I might say something back that might offend you
So if you don’t like when I rap
Or what I have to say on the mic then you
Might wanna act just like quarterbacks
And take a fuckin’ hike when I snap cause I’m a sinner
(I got a best friend, best friend)
Plus balls and intestines
And they have never been yes men
They gon’ tell me when I’m fuckin’ up
The minute I’m ever giving it less than
I’m about to vomit and I can feel it coming
Cause failure’s something I can barely stomach
And I only listen to my guts
So unless you’re my fuckin’ belly button
Don’t tell me anything
You ain’t my (best friend, best friend)
Who you think I’m talking ’bout?
Lifts me up when I’m down and out
Still, look to him without a doubt
Still got a (best friend, best friend)
Shout it out like there’s never been a louder mouth
Should have never been allowed a mouth
Now that I got a higher power
Now when I black out the power outage
They powerless, but they crowd around
They tend to flock like shepherds the black sheep
But I’ll be the worst thing that these motherfuckers ever herd
When I’m counted out
You be D.O.A., they’ll announce
But pronounce you dead when they sound it out
So prepare for a rival with your arch enemy
Surrounds you now
He’s all around you
Not even the doctor’s at the hospital
Are gonna shiny-shock you back to life
It’s in piggy possible to revive you
That’s a word to the digy doc
Stigy stopping is not an option
Something I’m not gonna do
I’m the Iggy Pop of hip-hop when I walk in the booth
Dawg, I’m the truth like Biggie rockin’ with Tupac in the suit
Talking to Proof dropping a deuce
Fill up a syllable clip like a re-fillable script, cock it and shoot
And who do you think the Glock that I use
That I pull from to get my strength up against these haters
And he’ll be waiting at the gate
When you get sprayed up, sending you hoes straight up
To deal with my (best friend, best friend)

Yelawolf Post Malone Diss

Post Malone got us sayin’ “Wow” with this response.

Yelawolf dropped a freestyle diss titled “Bloody Sunday” on—you guessed it—Sunday. In it, the rapper took aim at Post MaloneG-Eazy and (possibly but not really) Machine Gun Kelly.
After calling out G-Eazy, Yelawolf moves on to Post Malone for reasons that are still unclear. He claims “he don’t even rap” and says he’s only mentioning him because he wants a response:
“Who else? I would diss Post Malone but he doesn’t even rap/Fucks it, fuck Post Malone, just because, let’s see if he answers back/All that change, tits, and funk chill bill, and the cowboy boots and hats/Damn Posty, why can’t we be friends? Our clothes already match
“Poser, biter, appropriation thief, give a fuck how many records you sold/Every fan you made is a leaf off of my tree/Boy you’re my seed, another mullet in the gang with the teeth I see/I just picked a bone with Post Malone and did it all on a Beastside beat”
Well, Yela got want he wanted because Posty came back with a response. He took to Twitter to say his piece:
“also Yelawolf is a nerd, and this tweet is the only support I will offer his album :)also @Yelawolf please show me all your chill bill shit, please! Last I heard you were talking about how you wanted your shit like mine, I have a couple of lenders, don’t worry! hmu dad
Post later followed it up with a screenshot of what appears to be the comment section on one of his Instagram posts. In it, you can see a comment from Yelawolf (or at least his account) that reads.
The musician closed out his comments by stating, “also like when your band is done with your dookie and wants to play some actually good music ”
It appears neither MGK nor G-Eazy have commented on their mention, so only time will tell how this plays out.
Yelawolf first takes aim at G-Eazy, alleging he looks like Tom Cruise and saying he’ll acknowledge him unlike his (soon former) Shady Records boss Eminem.
He states: “Hold up, G…easy/I can’t let this Tom Cruise lookin’ motherfucker just paddle by/Don’t know if I’m watching Vanilla Ice or Vanilla Sky/Marshall Mathers may have ignored you/But if you want the smoke, bring the foil/I’ll boil you till the kettle’s dry.”
While it’s not stated exactly what Em ignored, G-Eazy did put himself in the midst of the Eminem v. Machine Gun Kelly beef this past fall by releasing “Bad Boy.” In that, G-Eazy states, “Ironic this what’s happening the night that Eminem dissed you/Fuck you, bitch.”
After the aforementioned Posty line, Yelawolf rounds out his freestyle with a subtle mention of Machine Gun Kelly. He states, “Threw a middle finger out the window when I wave/Trunk Muzik III bruh, you gon’ know how I feel about MGK.”
Following Trunk Muzik and Trunk Muzik Returns in 2010 and 2013 respectively, Trunk Muzik III is reportedly going to be Yelawolf’s final release on Em’s Shady Records. It appears to be where Yelawolf will be making his feelings on MGK known. However, it’s unclear if these will be positive or negative.
Yelawolf and MGK’s back and forth dates back to 2011 when the latter believed the former allegedly called him out at the 2011 BET Awards. This led to Yelawolf calling him out again while on Shade 45 and MGK retorting by calling him “old man.”
However, days before Em’s first punch with “Not Alike” dropped, Yelawolf had posted a shot with MGK stating they had a collab in the works:
MGK then became embroiled in a back and forth with Eminem. Em dropped “Not Alike” to which MGK responded with “Rap Devil.” In the latter, he calls out Eminem for pulling a verse off Yelawolf’s album, presumably the one mentioned days prior: “And don’t be a sucker and take my verse off of Yelawolf’s album, thank ya!/I just wanna feed my daughter/You tryna stop the money to support her.”
