Vera Farmiga ( middle name Ann) is a Ukranian- American actress, film director, and producer. She is best known for her role in the film Up in the Air and Bates Motel.

She went to Hunterdon Central Regional High School where she successfully graduated in 1991. After high school, she enrolled at Syracuse University to study performing arts. After the completion of her studies, she graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 1995
