V. Unbeatable America’s Got Talent
On May 24, V. Unbeatable wowed everyone with their extraordinary acrobatic dance performance on America’s Got Talent.
Before their routine on the “AGT” stage, the lead dancer explain more about their day-to-day life in Mumbai. “Life in Mumbai is very hard,” the group’s leader tells judges Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Gabrielle Union and Julianne Hough. “The slums are very crowded, very dirty, and they don’t get proper electricity. Often seven to 10 people are staying in one room. It is very challenging to survive over there. Each day we pray for a better life, but in the slums there is very little opportunity for us. When we dance we forget all the tensions in our mind, and we feel free.”
He continues on, “”For the past two weeks we are not able to sleep. This opportunity could change our life and everyone wants to succeed to give back to their families. We used to see ‘America’s Got Talent’ on YouTube. We were like, can we go here, like someday? We were just dreaming about it, and today we are here. I can’t explain it in words. It’s our dream come true.”
“The [people] in slums, they don’t get proper water and everything there is — sorry,” he begins as he breaks down in tears.
