Uma Thurman Biography

Uma Thurman born Uma Karuna Thurman is an American actress and model who has stood out from her performances in a variety of films, ranging from romantic comedies and dramas to science fiction and action movies. Following her appearances on the covers of British Vogue dated December 1985 and May 1986, Thurman secured a role in the 1988 film Dangerous Liaisons . She rose to international stardom after her performance in the 1994 film Pulp Fiction ,for which she was nominated for the BAFTA  Academy Award as well as the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress. She has worked closely with the talented Director Quentin Tarantino and played the main role in both critically acclaimed ‘Kill Bill’ films, which saw her getting nominated for two additional Golden Globe Awards.

Uma met English Actor Gary Oldman while on the set of the film State of Grace; and tied the knot in 1990. Their marriage however didn’t last as they divorced two years later.
On May 1, 1998, She met American actor Ethan Hawke on the set of the 1997 film titled Gattaca where their romance flourished and tied the knot and sired two children. Ethan’s novel Ash Wednesday is dedicated to “Karuna”, which happens to be Thurman’s middle. The couple had two children.They separated in 2003, and the divorce was finalized in August 2005.
In 2007,Thurman began dating Arpad Busson, A London-based French financier in 2007. They announced their engagement in June 2008 and in late 2009, they called off their engagement, however they reconciled soon after. The couple later called off the engagement for the second time in April 2014. Thurman and Busson had a daughter born in 2012. In January 2017, Thurman and Busson began child custody negotiations which resulted in Thurman receiving primary physical custody later that month.

Uma Thurman Song| Fall Out Boy Uma Thurman|Dance Like Uma Thurman

The popular American rock band Fall Out Boy released a song titled “Uma Thurman” in 2015, in a bid to celebrate the actress on her roles in the films Pulp Fiction and Kill Bill. Uma approved for the band to use her name as the title for their song and during an interview on the Today Show, she stated that it was sweet of them to use her name and that she is happy for their success.
