Todd Chrisley Biography
Todd Chrisley (Michael Todd Chrisley) is an American real estate tycoon and TV personality born on 6th April 1969 in Atlanta Georgia, U.S. He is popular for his appearance on the reality TV show “Chrisley Knows Best” on the USA network.
In 2004 Chrisley started Executive Asset Management LLC until 2008. Chrisley then began his real estate owned management company, Chrisley Asset Management. The company was headquartered in Atlanta with corporate branches in other states of the country made its money by managing and liquidating repossessed real estate properties for financial institutions.
Chrisley runs Chrisley & Company which has investments in retail, asset management, entertainment, and media.

Todd was born to Gene Raymond Chrisley (1935 – 2012) and Faye Chrisley, who has featured in ‘Chrisley Knows Best’. He has two brothers Randy and Derrick Chrisley. Randy was however diagnosed with stage four cancer in 2014.
Todd Chrisley First Wife/ Who Was Todd Chrisley’s First Wife/ Chrisley Knows Best Divorce
Todd married his first wife Teresa Terry in 1988 at the age of 21 while she was 19 but the couple divorced in 1996 after 7 years of marriage. According to MailOnline they obtained court documents in which Terry accused Chrisley of waging a ‘campaign of mental and physical abuse,’ of battering her and once battled her with closed fist after stripping her naked. She also claimed that he wielded a knife and threatened to kill her and that one one occasion she witnessed him beat his own mother.
The couple had previously separated multiple times but in November 1994 Teresa filed a domestic violence complaint and moved out of their marital home. She alleged that in December 1992 while Chrisley was intoxicated he destroyed her personal property ‘and battered his mother’ and her. She also claimed that on 21st October 1994 Chrisley battled her while she was driving until she pulled over and ran ran away. When she went home to pick up some belongings she claimed he, ‘stripped her of all her jewelry’ and threw her out of the marital home, ‘until he was tired of caring for the children.’
Teresa claimed that on 2nd November he ‘wielded a knife threatening to kill her’ and that she fled to a neighbor’s home until she felt safe that Chrisley had left their still shared property. Three days later, she claimed he ‘tore all of her clothes, including her undergarments, from her body and battered her using his closed fist.’
The court documents stated that: ‘The beating causing contusions and lacerations on her lips and mouth. Plaintiff (Teresa) attempted to call the police, however the Defendant (Chrisley) threatened to kill her if she reported the incident.’
When Teresa left their marital home she took Kyle with her and intended to collect Lindsie later as she was with Chrisley’s parents at the time but when she went to take her Chrisley wouldn’t allow her. This prompted Teresa to file for a criminal complaint against Chrisley alleging the ‘unlawful abduction’ on 8 November 1994.
The divorce wasn’t finalized until 1996 with each fighting for full custody of the children. After much to and fro Teresa dropped the domestic violence case. Chrisley denied very allegation and maintained that he had never been physically violent to his wife or mother. They were both granted joint physical and legal custody of the children.
Teresa however said that his love for the children is genuine. In 2014, nineteen years after their divorce she said: ‘I don’t know what happened to Todd really. I’ve known him a very long time and I know that he’s not all bad. There’s good in him. He can be very witty and fun company, but if he doesn’t get what he wants you’d better believe there will be consequences.’
After the divorce Teresa moved to a gated community with her new partner and children but one night she noticed a a red laser trained on the house and saw Chrisley standing in front of the property. She revealed that Chrisley was filming her and sent the footage to a television special on cheating wives.

Todd has two grandchildren: Jackson Campbell via Lindsie Chrisley and Chloe Chrisley via Kyle Chrisley. Chloe appears in the show ‘ Chrisley Knows Best’ and is the daughter of Kyle and his ex Angela Johnson. She was born in 2012 and Todd has full custody of Chloe.
Kylie has struggled with drug addiction and during an interview with E! News in 2014 Todd said Kyle is bipolar and has self-medicated since he was young. Angela accused Kyle of being violent when she was pregnant.
Kyle was arrested a year after the birth of his daughter which gave Todd shared custody with Angela. In 2016 Angela was arrested allegedly claiming Chloe as a dependent to defraud medicaid and food stamps, which granted Todd full custody of his granddaughter.
Kyle has however accused his family of using Chloe to boost their TV ratings: “My dad showed no interest in Chloe at all until the show and until it was pointed out that having a mixed race child and getting her and all that would be good for his demographic. He didn’t want to see her before then. He said he wanted nothing to do with her.” Kyle told Daily Mail.
Chrisley has however denied the allegations telling Us Weekly: “Chloe is our family, and we are glad that the world gets to see such a beautiful child grow, explore and come into herself so brilliantly through love and respect. ”

Todd Chrisley Bankruptcy
In August 2012, according to People magazine, Chrisley filed a petition for Chapter 7 bankruptcy protection. Although he listed more than $4.2 million in assets, his debts totaled a whopping $49.4 million.
According to his lawyer Chrisley granted a real estate development loan and it failed and was on the hook for $30 million. She also had mortgages totaling $12 million, a delinquent IRS bill for $595,227.98 and even a $4.4 million loan from his wife.
In the court filing Chrisley claimed to have only $55 in a checking account and $100 in cash. The remainder of his assets consisted of $4.2 million in real estate.
Todd Chrisley Gay
Todd has severally been hit with gay claims although he has been married to women twice. After the first season of ‘Chrisley Knows Best’ his son Kyle accused him of being gay and said that he was hiding his sexuality.
Kyle revealed to InTouch Weely that he overheard his father, while he was worked with his dad at his CAM company, make offers to hold the penises of his staff when they went to take a piss.
Chrisley denied the allegations and told In Touch Weekly: “I am not gay, nor have I ever been.” His ex-wife Teresa also came to his defense and said she doesn’t think he is gay.
In February 2017 Todd did an interview with The Domenick Nati Show when he said he didn’t care that people continue to think he is gay.
“I’m flattered that people think I can get laid on both ends. So, that doesn’t bother me.”
