Terrell’s first job in television news came in 1998 in his hometown of Cleveland at WEWS, an ABC television affiliate. While there, he worked behind the scenes helping cultivate stories as an assignment desk assistant, news researcher, and news producer.
In 2002, Terrell moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan, to report for WWMT TV-3 (CBS). A special report on racism brought Terrell honors from the Michigan Association of Broadcasters. He has also been acknowledged by the Michigan Press Photographers Association for excellence in reporting.
