Inside Ryan Seacrest and Shayna Taylor’s Relationship
Despite being on television almost every single morning, Ryan Seacrest tends to keep his personal life a little more low-key. The Live With Kelly and Ryan co-host has been dating 26-year-old Shayna Taylor for years now, but it’s only recently that he’s talking more openly about their romance.
In a new interview with People, the couple revealed how they first met through friends and bonded back in 2013, before breaking up in 2014 and later rekindling their relationship.
“It was the first time we were together, and she said, ‘I make these amazing gluten-free pancakes,’ and I said, ‘What?! Well, tell me everything!’” Seacrest said. “That is all it took for me to really fall.”
“For the last six months, we both wake up an hour earlier than we used to so we have time together to work out, take a walk, take our time without having to rush,” he said. “It’s been wonderful.”
Seacrest and Taylor moved cross country to New York City together when he joined Live in 2017, and they’ve been living together (and sharing each other’s clothes) ever since.
“Family is so important to me, and to Shayna as well, but I’ve always tried to put life into a master schedule with deadlines, and I don’t want to do that [with Shayna],” he said. “We both try to actually be in this moment, feel this connection, enjoy it and let it grow.”
