Roz began her newscasting profession during the 1970s. From 1975 to 1978, Abrams worked at WSB-AM radio. After leaving WSB-AM radio, she began working at WXIA-TV until 1982. She joined CNN in 1982 and worked there just for a year. She later worked at KRON-television from 1983 to 1986. Likewise, she filled in as a general journalist and later as a 5 P.M co-anchor with Diana Williams at WABC-television from 1986 to 2004.
