Robin Roberts (born Robin René Roberts) is an American TV broadcaster from Alabama. She is an anchor on Good Morning America which airs on ABC. She was born in 1960 in Alabama and grew up in Mississippi. She attended Southeastern Louisiana University.

She began as a sports anchor for local TV and radio stations. From 1990 to 2005, Roberts was a sportscaster on ESPN. In 2005, Roberts became a co-anchor on Good Morning America. She was treated for myelodysplastic syndrome which was chronicled on the program and earned her a 2012 Peabody Award for the coverage.
