Marsh Robin is an Emmy-nominated and national award-winning journalist. Marsh joined the News 9 team in April of 1995 and co-anchors First at Four with Lacie Lowry.

In her 25 years in the business, Marsh has received a number of honors including excellence in feature reporting from the National Academy of Television Journalists, honors from the Society of Professional Journalists, and was named “Oklahoma’s Journalist of the Year.” Marsh has also been honored by the Girl Scouts of America as a “Woman of Distinction.” Marsh’s series of reports on breast cancer can be found on display at the National Museum of Broadcast Journalism Center in Chicago.

Marsh began her broadcast career in her hometown of Lawton in 1983. Marsh worked at KSWO where she was one of the youngest News anchors ever in the state. After some time anchoring in Amarillo, Texas, Marsh moved to Oklahoma City in 1992.

Marsh is a speaker with the International Christian Women’s Club. Marsh has hosted the Jerry Lewis Muscular Dystrophy Association Telethon and was a member of the board of directors for the Baptist Foundation of Oklahoma. She also volunteers each year for the Special Olympics, as well as many other charitable organizations. A personal highlight for Marsh was when she was given the opportunity to speak to more than 7,000 Oklahoma students attending the Falls Creek Church Camp in the summer of 1997.

Marsh is a socio-economist with more than 25 years of experience in international agriculture, rural development and leadership development. She joined UC Berkeley in 2000 as academic coordinator of the Center for Sustainable Resource Development and co-director of the Beahrs Environmental Leadership Program (2000-2013), joining ISSI in 2014. She lectures in the field of Population, Environment, and Development, and is affiliate faculty with The Blum Center for Developing Economies and the Berkeley Food Institute. Marsh was a founding partner in developing the MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program at Berkeley which funds sub-Saharan African undergrads and MA students to attend UC Berkeley (2012-2020). She is the lead researcher on a multi-university project examining the career and life trajectories of African alumni of international universities. Marsh is currently leading a campus-wide initiative to provide research and training inputs to the East African Learning Lab for Population, Health, and Environment. She is a fellow with EcoAgriculture Partners and the associated global initiative, Landscapes for People, Food and Nature. She received her Ph.D. from the Food Research Institute, Stanford University.
