Rob Marciano is an American journalist and meteorologist. Currently, he is the ABC News senior meteorologist of ABC’s “World News Tonight” and the weekend edition of “Good Morning America.”

He provides forecasts for the weekend editions of Good Morning America, a position Ginger Zee vacated when she was chosen to succeed Sam Champion on the daily editions of GMA.

Rob became prominence as a meteorologist, occasional reporter, and substitute anchor for CNN Worldwide in their Atlanta headquarters.

Prior to Rob joining ABC, he was employed by Entertainment Tonight, where he co-anchored the nightly thirty-minute edition of the program as well as the sixty-minute weekend edition. In late August 2014, he left ET after twenty months to take his current position with ABC.

Additionally, Rob worked across the CNN Network as a field correspondent. Rob’s reports for CNN from the field during Hurricane Katrina and the BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico helped garner a Peabody Award. He also hosted primetime specials including “Rescue: Saving the Gulf,” where he worked side by side with the heroes who saved wildlife, skimmed oil, and cleaned up the beach during the worst oil disaster in the U.S. history.
