Her husband, Dr. Wayne Franklin, got the opportunity to become the Chief of Cardiology and Director of Adult Medicine at Phoenix Children’s Hospital. At the time of this writing, KPRC hasn’t named McNeill’s replacement. Yep, I called McNeill’s new job back on January 1, 2019:
I cannot imagine that management at Phoenix TV stations will not realize a talent like NcNeill is now living in their market and not try to recruit her for their anchor desks. What could delay her Phoenix TV debut is that she truly is not interested in returning to TV at the moment or the stations have to wait till they have a position to offer her.
Speaking of KPNX, MMJ Charly Edsitty left that station to join abc13 KTRK last year. Born in Jamaica, McNeill moved to Texas at an early age, first in Galveston and then later in Houston.
