Pamela Silva Conde Biography

Pamela Silva Conde is a Peruvian American six-time Emmy award-winning journalist and co-anchor of the Univision Network’s weekday newsmagazine.

She works for ‘Primer Impacto’ First Impact, one of the highest rating programs in the United States and in 12 Latin-American countries. Since she joined the show in 2011, she has covered major national and international news stories; most recently, she reported on every angle of the terrorist attack at the Boston marathon, live from Boston.

With Honors from Florida International University  Silva graduated with a   degree in Broadcast Journalism and earned a graduate certificate in Bilingual Communications from St. Thomas University.  She received a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Florida International University in 2012.

Silva Conde began her career at Univision in 2003 as a public affairs coordinator and producer for the community affairs show ‘Miami Ahora’ now known as Miami at WLTV 23. Silva Conde was also the host of TeleFutura 69’s first local newscast, Noticias en Noventa ‘News in 90’, a 90-second daily segment that brought viewers highlights of local news. Additionally was a professional cheerleader for the Miami Dolphins.

In 2005, Silva rejoined the Univision Miami affiliate news team as an entertainment anchor and reporter. Later she became a substitute news anchor and was later named the main anchor for the leading Spanish-language morning newscast in South Florida Noticias 23 Al Amanecer. Here she presented the news on a daily basis both WLTV Univision 23 and WAMI TeleFutura 69.

To add to her duties as a news anchor, she worked on a special feature and investigative reports as a national correspondent for the investigative newsmagazine “Aqui y Ahora” where she continues collaborating.

The Pamela Silva Conde Scholarship has been established in order to provide first-generation, low-income, business or journalism majors with the financial support they need to further their education.

Pamela Silva Conde, the award-winning co-anchor of the news-magazine show “Primer Impacto” First Impact, is a six-time Emmy Award-winning journalist. Her afternoon show is one of the highest-rated programs in the U.S. and in 12 Latin-American countries.

Two Pamela Silva Conde Scholars will be selected each academic year. Each recipient will be awarded $2,000. Recipients must demonstrate financial need, be degree-seeking undergraduate students enrolled for a minimum of six credit hours per semester, and maintain a minimum 3.3 GPA to be eligible.

This scholarship offer is for $2,000. An Initial $1000.00 distributed during the fall term and the second amount of $1000.00 will be distributed in the spring term.

For consideration, the applicant must meet the following minimum requirements:
•Demonstrate financial need by completing the national Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA);
•Demonstrate “Pell Eligibility” as well as “Unmet Need” in the national Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA);
•Applicant must be a “First Generation Scholar”, which means neither of their parents/guardians completed a 4-year baccalaureate degree or higher and is recorded as such in the national Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA);
•A degree-seeking undergraduate student major in College of Business or SJMC enrolled for a minimum of six credit hours per semester during the award period;
• Entering or current Honors College student in good standing (minimum 3.3 GPA);
•Submit a 2-page typewritten (double-spaced) essay about your career goals, reasons for choosing the profession, and where you would like to work in the future.

Applications will be reviewed and selection made by the Honors College Scholarship Committee in accordance with specific scholarship requirements.

Silva Conde is happily married to her lover Cesar Conde. Cesar Conde is a media executive as well as the Chairman of NBC Universal International group and NBC Universal Telemundo. Silva Conde and husband Cesar Conde have been married since the year 2009.

They met in 2005 when she came from Peru to sign her contract with Univision and fell in love straight away. The two got married at the Biltmore Hotel in the most famous wedding spot in the state of Florida in Coral Gables. Attended by over 200 people celebrities included, friends and family of the Silva and Cesar said it was a truly remarkable wedding. A grand event of that year in Florida.

The pair have been so in love that there have been rumors of them renewing their wedding vows. Some sources claim that Pamela and Cesar have now decided to renew their vows every six years. They have even sparked rumors of the possibility of children. Now that they have accomplished much in their careers, they think that they now have enough time to give to children.

Silva Conde ignited rumors about a possible pregnancy with a photo she shared on her social networks. She has repeatedly admitted that her biggest dream is to become a mother and that she and her husband Cesar Conde, have plans to order the stork.
