She is a graduate of Loyola College Prep and the Schieffer College of Communication at Texas Christian University. After graduating from TCU, Nikki remained in Texas. Where she worked as a diligent and deadline-tested journalist writing.Also reporting compelling stories in several television markets including Waco, Austin, and Dallas.

After graduating from TCU, Nikki remained in Texas. Where she worked as a diligent and deadline-tested journalist writing. However, reporting compelling stories in several television markets including Waco, Austin, and Dallas. Before joining KTAL NBC 6 in November 2012, Nikki was a writer for FOX News Channel at the Dallas Bureau. While in Austin and Waco she was a health reporter and produced the noon, 5, 6, & 10 p.m. newscasts at KWTX, KCEN, and KTBC.
The 2004 Presidential Election and the Yogurt Shop Murder trial was among the major events Nikki covered while in Austin. She also won the Telly and Davey awards for writing outstanding medical stories for the nationally syndicated talk show “Your Health”.
The things Nikki loves most about her state are the kind-hearted people, Jazz music, Mardi Gras and the New Orleans Saints. Nikki is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists. Also a volunteer with the Shreveport Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association.
