Mike Everett Biography
Mike Everett is an American journalist working as a meteorologist for KING5 News. He can in a real sense follow the times of his daily routine by the spots he has experienced and the games he played there.
As a young person in Burnaby and Vernon, British Columbia, Canada, it was hockey (A LOT), soccer, lacrosse, and skiing. In his teenagers in Sonoma County, California, it was football, wrestling, surfing, and hockey (A LOT less).
Bringing a family up in Florida, it was surfing (A LOT), skating, Ultimate Frisbee, and some hockey (in all honesty!). His surf ventures took him from North Carolina to Chile, scattered with missions to Costa Rica, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Puerto Rico, and Hawaii.
In Canada, they watched a great deal of Seattle TV. He got all of his Sesame Street and Mr. Rogers from PBS. He recalls J.P. Patches, the “Artesian” Rainier brew plugs, and this senseless spot for the Puyallup State Fair where a chicken moves to a folksy little jingle called “Do the Puyallup”.

He is a child of the Pacific Northwest. He got his most memorable fish – a rainbow trout – in the Skagit River. He gets it and regards the tradition of KING 5 and he is past respected to be a piece of its present and future.
