Mika Brzezinski Biography
Mika Brzezinski is an American newscaster and author who at present co-hosts MSNBC’s weekday morning broadcast show Morning Joe.
Mika was previously a CBS News correspondent and was their principal “Ground Zero” reporter during the morning of the September 11 attacks. She joined MSNBC as an occasional anchor in 2007 and was subsequently chosen as co-host of Morning Joe.
Mika is a visiting fellow at the Harvard Institute of Politics. Mika’s main political attraction is in wage equality for women. She is also the author of three books; two on her career as a journalist and one on food addiction.

Mika’s brother, Mark Brzezinski, is an American diplomat and was the United States Ambassador to Sweden from 2011 to 2015. Her second brother Ian Brzezinski is a military expert. Mika is the first cousin to the author Matthew Brzezinski.

Mika made a failed attempt on Monday, May 27, 2019 morning to rile up her “Morning Joe” panel to bash President Trump on a segment dedicated to Memorial Day.
In the segment, Mika started by asking the “reflections” of MSNBC commentator Mike Barnicle by invoking Trump’s deployment of troops at the southern border.
“I want to ask you what your reflections are during this time in terms of our attitudes in America, our knowledge and our understanding of people who serve in the military, who serve multiple tours of duty, who have taken part in wars on behalf of this country, and also, are being deployed by this President by — let’s say maybe perhaps controversial means in terms of their deployments at the southern border for caravans that are coming in. It’s a convoluting time, is it not?” Mika said.
Trump lashed out Thursday, June 28 2017 at the appearance and intellect of Mika Brzezinski, a co-host of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.” drawing condemnation from his fellow Republicans and reigniting the controversy over his attitudes toward women that nearly derailed his candidacy last year.
He described Ms.Mika as “Low I.Q. Crazy Mika” and claimed in a series of Twitter posts that she had been “bleeding badly from a face-lift” during a social gathering at Mr. Trump’s resort in Florida around New year’s Eve. There was no explanation of what had prompted the outburst, but the spokeswoman said Ms. Brzezinski deserved a rebuke because of her show’s harsh stance on Mr. Trump.
These tweets ended five months of relative silence from the president on the volatile subject of gender, reintroducing a political vulnerability: his history of demeaning women for their age, appearance, and mental capacity.
