Mariam Mackar is an American journalist working as a multimedia journalist for TMJ4 NBC News. Mariam has adored narrating as far back as she can recall.
She is excited to work close to Milwaukee’s people group to recount stories that matter and have an effect. She loves to travel, read great books, attempt new food sources, and pet any creature that will let her.

Mackar joined the TMJ4 newsroom as a media columnist in August of 2022. A Midwesterner completely, Mariam experienced childhood in the Chicago rural areas prior to earning an education in Journalism and Political Science from DePaul University in Chicago.
While at school, Mariam was chosen to be a piece of DePaul’s Center for Journalism Integrity and Excellence where she worked under vocation experts like previous NBC5 political proofreader Carol Marin and analytical maker Don Moseley to make inside and out reports for WTTW’s Chicago Tonight.
In the wake of graduating in March of 2020, she began her reporting vocation at WDIO-TV in Duluth, MN where she filled in as a sight and sound columnist and producer prior to continuing on to anchor the station’s morning show, Good Morning Northland.
