He also appeared in the film-within-the-film of Scream 2, both in 1997.

In 1998, Wilson starred in Best Men alongside Drew Barrymore a film about a group of friends who pull off a heist on their way to a wedding, and the movie Home Fries, about two brothers interested in the same woman for different reasons. In 1999 he featured in movie Blue as detective Carlson and in 2001 he played opposite Reese Witherspoon in the comedy Legally Blonde. Wilson also had a role as Michael Kelso’s older brother Casey Kelso on That ’70s Show.

In 2006, Wilson starred in Idiocracy a film by Mike Judge. In early 2007, Wilson starred in thriller Vacancy with co-star Kate Beckinsale.
