Who is Keith Powers- Biography

Keith Powers is an American actor and model who is best known for his role as Ronnie Devoe. He plays this role in BET’s mini-series called The New Edition Story. He is also known as Tyree in the film Straight Outta Compton. He was born and raised in Sacramento in California to Jennifer Clark his mother.

His father was Keith Powers, Sr. who was the oldest of a family of four children. Keith began his modeling when he was only 9 years old. He was so influenced by his mother but his passion was in sports. He used to player football at Sheldon High School as a wide receiver. He then moved to Los Angeles, after graduating in 2010, with his father.

He was taken there to focus on modeling, singing with the Wilhemina Agency. He was in the runway for Calvin Klein at the 2014 Men’s Fashion Week in Milan. He then modeled in Sears and JC Penny ads and then did a cover for Sketchers where he became the face of Aeropostale.

From there he became known for his role as Tyree in the movie Straight Outta Compton. He was also in the cast of The New Edition Story as Ronnie DeVoe. Since 2017 he has co-featured in the Famous Love on Freeform.
