Prior to CBS 3, Katie worked as a news forecaster in New York for WCBS. She has also appeared in networks like FOX News, FOX Business, ESPN, and ABC.

Prior to joining CBS, Katie worked for WCBS in New York where she worked as weekend morning news forecaster. Prior to that, she was a forecaster at AccuWeather, Inc. in State College, Pennsylvania.

She also served as a day weather reporter for several networks including Fox Sports Networks, NESN, YES, and the Big Ten Network. Katie also reported as a regular football, baseball, and hockey game day weather reporter.
