Jonathan Serrie is an American journalist for Fox News Channel. Serrie focuses on medicine, science, politics and breaking news in the Southeastern United States.

He graduated with Bachelor of Arts degrees in political science and English from Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia, in 1987. While at the university, he was the editor-in-chief of the student newspaper “The Emory Wheel”.After graduation, he worked as a general assignment reporter for WWSB-TV Sarasota, FL (1987-1989); WYFF-TV, Greenville, SC (1989-1994); and WSB-TV, Atlanta, GA “1994-1999”.

Jonathan joined Fox News in 1999. He worked in the channel’s Los Angeles and Seattle bureaus and covered the 1999 World Trade Organization riots and the 2001 Seattle earthquake. In 2001, he became the correspondent for the channel in the Atlanta bureau. He covered Operation Allied Force from NATO Headquarters in Brussels, Belgium; Kačanik, Kosovo; and Skopje, Macedonia.

He was stationed in Qarshi, Uzbekistan during the initial phase of Operation Enduring Freedom. He has also reported from Afghanistan, covering the battle at Qala-i-Jangi in Mazar-i-Sharif and on the establishment of the post-Taliban government in Kabul.

He had reported live from Sanford, FL to cover the George Zimmerman murder trial and shooting of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin. Jonathan Serrie had also provided live coverage of the 2012 campaign finance fraud trial of John Edwards, the former Democratic senator from North Carolina and nominee for vice-president in 2004.
