She is the daughter of daughter of Michael Bear Carson (serial murderer).
His father in Phoenix, Arizona, when his first wife noticed severe behavioral changes and left with their daughter, Jennifer. he started a relationship with Susan Barnes, a divorcée with two teenaged sons. The Couple married and became involved in illegal drugs and mysticism. At some point, he took the name “Michael Bear”, telling his daughter in a letter that God had given him the new name “Michael”; Susan became known as “Suzan Bear.”
By 1980, after a year-long trip to Europe, the family returned to the U.S. and moved into the Haight-Ashbury neighborhood of San Francisco, California, where they continued their involvement with drugs and the counterculture. By this time, his’s former wife had become afraid that he would harm her and try to abduct their child and took steps to hide herself and the child from him. She went so far as to move various times and cut off contact with mutual colleagues.

She is the director of the LP Fisher Public Library in Woodstock, N.B.The Serial Killer daughter has been involved in delivering movement-based programs in libraries and schools for eight years. She has been blogging about physical literacy for the American Library Association for three years at www.programminglibrarian.org.
The 68-year-old is involved with a research project gathering data on physical literacy programs in libraries with Dr. Noah Lenstra “University of North Carolina at Greensboro” and she is also the author of “Get Your Community Moving: Physical Literacy Programs for All Ages”. Her team was recently given the New Brunswick Public Library Service Innovation Award for their physical literacy initiatives. She is a member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists, the Atlantic Provinces Library Association and Beta Phi Mu, the International Honors Society for Library and Information Sciences. She was named the first ambassador for the National Unplugged Challenge, which encourages children to put down their devices and play.
