Jay Severin is an American political talk radio personality. Severin has worked at WTKK-FM, at Boston’s WXKS-AM Talk 1200 in 2011 and 2012 as an afternoon talk host and at The Blaze Radio Network.

Severin’s mom was a writer and his dad was a direct mail publicity entrepreneur. He spent at least a part of his childhood and teen years in Poughkeepsie, New York, where he established his sixth-grade civics club and the school newspaper, and later graduated from 1974 Vassar College and studied at the University of Boston.

Severin worked as a political consultant for David Garth in New York City. Severin began Severin Aviles Associates in 1979 to direct Republican candidates ‘ approach and media, including campaigns for the U.S. House. U.S. Senate, Governor, and President (George H.W.
