DeRay Davis (Antoine DeRay Davis) is an American stand up comedian and actor born on 26th February 1968 in Chicago, Illinois, United States. He is popular for his role as Ray-Ray the Hustle Guy in Barbershop and Barbershop 2: Back in Business.
Davis began his career as a stand up comedian performing in various comedy clubs. He got his break through while performing at the Laffapalooza Festival in Atlanta. He played the role of Ray Ray in Barbershop and later relocated to Los Angeles where he won the Comedy Central Laugh Riots Competition.
He has since starred in more than 30 films. He has also appeared on the rap album of many rap stars and even appeared in their music videos such as Kanye West‘s albums The College Dropout and Late Registration, impersonating Bernie Mac and appearing as the lead of the fictitious fraternity “Broke Phi Broke.” He also appeared in Kanye West’s music video for Through the Wire.
He has also made appearance in music video of Lil’ Flip’s Game Over, Chris Brown’s Yo (Yo Excuse Me Miss), Three 6 Mafia’s Doe Boy Fresh and Cassie’s Long Way 2 go.

DeRay is not married although he lives with his two girlfriends Coco Crawford, born in 1993, and CaroPeguero, born in 1991. Their relationship was aired on the 2016’s Oxygen docu-series ‘Living with Funny.’ He said he had been with Cara for about five years and Coco for almost two-and-half-years at the time. He said that the two ladies were very okay with him as he is very open to them and doesn’t appear to them as a player.
“I’ve been with one for about five years, the other one for almost two and half years now. They’re very comfortable, ’cause I’m very open. I don’t make it where it’s all, ‘Oooh, look what I’m doing.’ I’m not a player.”
He also revealed that he wasn’t planning on marrying either and that he would “rather let them marry each other, and just stay with both of them.”

DeRay Davis Stand Up
DeRay is a stand up comedian who got his breakthrough at the Laffapalooza Festival in Atlanta. He later moved to Los Angeles where he scored a 3-peat by winning Comedy Central Laugh Riots Competition. He later landed a covetable spots in the Montreal Just for Laughs Festival as well as the Budweiser Def Comedy Jam Competition and also appeared in Cedric The Entertainer Tour.
DeRay Davis Empire
Davis played the role of Jermel, a minor character, in the FOX television series ‘Empire’. He is the cousin of Cookie Lyon , he made his first appearance in “Dangerous Bonds”, after Cookie hired him to kill Teddy McNally.
He later returned in “The Devils Are Here” and was the target of Frank Gathers while in prison with Lucious Lyon. He was killed by Frank Gathers inside the prison, and his decapitated head was sent as a message to Cookie and Carol.
