Dave Briggs Biography
Dave Briggs is an American television journalist and a co-host of the podcast Home & Home with Ross Tucker on Radio.com. He formerly served as a CNN anchor and co-host of Early Start with Christine Romans.
Briggs served as the weekend sports anchor at KOKI-TV Fox 23 in Tulsa, Oklahoma from 2002 to 2004. He later became a reporter and sports anchor at WHDH (TV), Channel 7, an NBC affiliate in Boston, Massachusetts from 2004 to 2008. He also served as a host and a reporter for Comcast SportsNet New England.
Briggs joined the Fox News Channel, as co-anchor of Fox and Friends Weekend in 2008. He also hosted alongside Alisyn Camerota and Clayton Morris. He was seen occasionally hosting Fox News Channel’s web show Strategy Room.
Dave began co-hosting a daily sports and pop culture show for NBCSN called The Crossover with Beadle and Briggs in January 2013. The show was later rebranded as The Crossover with Michelle Beadle in May 2013. Beadle was the sole host of the show. Four months later, the show was canceled and Beadle returned to ESPN. Dave later hosted SportsDash weekdays at noon on NBCSN alongside Carolyn Manno. The show was co-produced by Yahoo Sports with live viewer feedback onscreen. On February 23, 2017, Briggs began co-hosting CNN’S Early Start. He hosted the show alongside Christine Romans. Briggs also served as a relief co-host of New Day, a three-hour morning news show.
On December 20, 2019, Briggs announced his departure from Early Start and CNN. On the same day, he announced that he had joined the podcast Home & Home with Ross Tucker on Radio.com. The show is also heard on Apple Podcasts and Spotify.
