He started acting in Vancouver at the age of eight, he took a brief hiatus from acting to pursue a pro minor league hockey career. He also appeared as three different kid extras in The 100 three different times.

You’ve checked out my previous interview with #ElizabethReaser and now, I’ve received this press release announcing that Darren Mann, Elizabeth Reaser, Karrueche Tran and Saïd Taghmaoui have joined the cast of Nick Sarkisov’s “Embattled.” Blitz Films to produce David McKenna’s original screenplay, which also stars Stephen Dorff. Los Angeles, CA (September 27, 2018) – Blitz Films and Straight Up Films announce today that Darren Mann (critically-acclaimed 2018 TIFF premiere GIANT LITTLE ONES), Elizabeth Reaser (“The Haunting of Hill House), Karrueche Tran (“The Bay,” “Claws”) and Saïd Taghmaoui (WONDER WOMAN) and have joined Stephen Dorff (“True Detective,” BLADE) in director Nick Sarkisov’s English-language debut EMBATTLED.Written by David McKenna (AMERICAN HISTORY X, GET CARTER, BLOW), the film will be produced by Sergey Sarkisov for Blitz Films, alongside Kate Cohen for Straight Up Films, and Scott LaStaiti, with Nick Sarkisov and Dorff serving as executive producers. Eryl Cochran from Blitz Films will oversee production. The film shoots in Alabama this fall.

The story follows a high school judo prodigy (Mann) who steps into the MMA cage for a vicious battle of retribution against the ultimate rival – his father (Dorff).

Mann has most recently been seen in the critically-acclaimed Toronto International Film Festival premiere of GIANT LITTLE ONES, opposite Josh Wiggins, Kyle MacLachlan and Maria Bello. He will next be seen in the “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” for Netflix. Other credits include HELLO DESTROYER, “Wayward Pines,” and “Let the Right One In.”

Reaser will next be seen in Mike Flanagan’s modern reimagining of Shirley Jackson’s classic 1959 novel, “The Haunting of Hill House”, set to release this Fall on Netflix.  She is best known for her memorable performances in an array of independent and blockbuster hits, including Marc Forster’s psychological thriller STAY; Thomas Bezucha’s beloved holiday film THE FAMILY STONE; her iconic portrayal as ‘Esme Cullen’ in THE TWILIGHT SAGA; Jason Reitman’s YOUNG ADULT; and most recently, Mike Flanagan’s retro horror prequel OUIJA: ORIGIN OF EVIL.

Tran is best known for her role as Vivian Johnson in the web series “The Bay,” and currently stars as Virginia Loc in the TNT series “Claws.” She will next be seen in Josh Weber’s NEVER HEARD opposite Robin Givens and Brian White.

Taghmaoui has recently been seen in the role of Sameer in WONDER WOMAN, and has also been seen in THE INFILTRATOR, and on TV in HBO’s“Ballers,” and “The Missing” on Starz.  He will next been seen in the feature AT FIRST LIGHT.
