Dane Cook Biography
Dane Cook born Dane Jeffrey Cook is an American stand-up comedian and film actor. Cook has released five comedy albums: Harmful If Swallowed, Live From Madison Square Garden, Isolated Incident, Retaliation, Vicious Circle, and Rough Around The Edges.
Retaliation became the highest charting comedy album in 28 years in 2006 and also went platinum. In the fall of 2006, he performed an HBO special, Vicious Circle, a straight-to-DVD special titled Rough Around The Edges. He performed a Comedy Central special in 2009 titled Isolated Incident. He is also known for his use of observational, sometimes dark comedy, and often vulgar.
Dane is also one of the first comedians to use a personal webpage and MySpace to build a large fan base. In 2006, he was described as “alarmingly popular”. Cook has appeared in films since 1997 as an actor. He has appeared including Mystery Men, Waiting…, Employee of the Month, Life, Mr. Brooks, Good Luck Chuck, Dan in Real Life and My Best Friend’s Girl. Cook also provided the lead voice role in the 2013 family film Planes, and also its 2014 sequel Planes: Fire & Rescue.

In 1994, Cook moved to New York City and began performing. He moved to Los Angeles two years later, where he still lives today. Cooks’ big break came in 1998 when he appeared on Comedy Central’s Premium Blend.He did a half-hour special on Comedy Central Presents in 2000. His special has won the Comedy Central Stand-up showdown twice in a row since then.

He released his first CD/DVD, Harmful If Swallowed In 2003. Cook signed a contract with Comedy Central Records. This album is certified platinum.
Dane Cook Retaliation
In 2005, he released his second CD/DVD, it was entitled Retaliation. The album went double platinum and made Dane the first comic in 29 years to have an album at #4 on the Billboard charts. Cook performed at the MTV Video Music Awards, and afterwards joined Snoop Dogg in presenting the award for Best New Artist.
Dane Cook Vicious Circle
He performed his first HBO Special entitled Vicious Circle on April 15, 2005. It was filmed “in the round” at the TD Garden. The very year, he shot two pilot episodes for his own sitcom, Cooked. It never got picked up and the two pilot episodes were later released on DVD as the Lost Pilot Episodes.
Dane Cook Tourgasm
Cook embarked on a 30-day, 20-show college tour called Tourgasm with his longtime friends Robert Kelly, Gary Gulman, and Jay Davis that same year. It was filmed and later made into a 9-episode documentary on HBO.
Dane Cook Rough Around The Edges
Cook released his third CD/DVD entitled Rough Around The Edges on November 13, 2007. It was filmed live at Madison Square Garden in New York City. He embarked on his first arena tour during that time.
Dane Cook Isolated Incident
Cook finished his fourth album, Isolated Incident; a performance which aired on Comedy Central on May 17, 2009. The release of the record followed two days later. On April 25, 2009, he kicked off that tour at the Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Connecticut. The album will be the last as part of his four-record deal with Comedy Central Records.
Dane Cook Laugh Factory
On April 10, 2007, Cook broke the Laugh Factory’s endurance record which previously held by Richard Pryor by performing on stage for three hours and 50 minutes on April 10, 2007.
The isolated incident was performed at Laugh Factory in Hollywood, it is considered to be Cook’s home base, this is where he goes and works on new material. He released the DVD version of it in November 2009.

Showtime aired his Troublemaker special in 2014. He performs a standup routine that skewers aspects of every day life and human behavior.

Dane Cook Jokes About His and Girlfriend’s 26-Year Age Difference
What’s 26 years between partners, anyway? Dane Cook is laughing off the sizable age difference between himself and his girlfriend Kelsi Taylor.
The comedian, 46, opened up about dating the 19-year-old singer-songwriter in an Instagram Q&A on Monday, August 13, and showed off self-depreciating humor when a fan asked for advice for couples with an age gap.
“The only thing you have to do is plan that your deaths will be somewhat far apart,” Cook quipped.
The stand-up star also recounted his and Taylor’s origin story. “We met at a game night I host at my place,” he told an inquiring fan. “We were friends for a while & soon after fell in like with each [other] and then upgraded to love.”
When another Instagram follower asked about the duo’s favorite attributes of each other, Cook replied, “Kelsi is smart, kind, creative, loyal & honest. As for me, I think Kelsi would [say] I’m tolerable. LOL.”
As for whether their families like them together? He added: “I do love her family and we are pretty close and do dinner and hang. My family pretty much died years ago but … my sister [likes] Kelsi a lot.”
