Brock Lesnar Biography

Brock Lesnar, born Brock Edward Lesnar is a professional wrestler, former professional football player and mixed martial artist. He performs under Raw in the WWE. He is the current Universal Champion.

Brock started wrestling as an amateur at college and university. He signed with WWE in the year 2000. Lesnar was the youngest winner of the WWE Championship, at 25 years. He left the WWE to pursue a career with the NFL. Prior to his cut from the team in the 2004 season, he was named defensive tackle for the Minnesota Vikings. The next year saw him return to wrestling with him signing for the New Japan Pro-Wrestling. He pursued a career in mixed martial arts in 2006.

He debuted on Raw in March the 18th in 2002. He was under the management of Paul Heyman who called him ‘The Next Big Thing’. Lesnar became famous for portraying bad guy antics against those who were generally considered heroes in the sport. He won the King of the Ring tournament and went on to beat The Rock and win the WWE Title. This made him the youngest WWE Champion in history at the time. He was also the fastest rising sports star in sports entertainment. His last match was against Bill Goldberg at the Madison Square Garden. He left to pursue a career in the National Football League.

He is famous for performing an offensive throw that involves the lifting and slamming of an opponent on his back. The move is known as a suplex. Often they are referred to as the opponent being taken to ‘Suplex City’.

He has in recent times been criticized for the same nature of his matches. Some even say the matches have become formulaic, with them knowing what to expect most of the times. His second fight on August 9th at UFC 87 against Heath Herring resulted in a win.
