Through UCLA Study Abroad programs, she has studied in Spain and Italy. Later she earned a certificate of Broadcast Meteorology from Mississippi State University.

Brittney Shipp Career

Brittney credits UCLA for her start. Where she held a job at the campus TV news program, Bruin news 29, as a general assignment reporter. During college, she served as an intern at KTLA and as a news assistant at L.A.s ABC7 Eyewitness News. After graduating from UCLA, She traveled to Arizona where she started her career at NBC affiliate KYMA in Yuma for two years. There she reported on weather and special features for the weekdays morning news. she then traveled to Phoenix for the next 5 years.

There she worked on 3TVs Good Morning Arizona. While in Phoenix, Shipp a mentor at the junior Forecasters Program at the Arizona Science center where she mentored elementary school students. She then worked as a weekend meteorologist on NBC10 News from 2013 to 2016. While at NBC10, Brittney appeared as a meteorologist on NBC’s Early Today, and MSNBCs First Look, Way Too Early and Morning Joe. In January 2018. she came back to NBC10 after working as a chief meteorologist for KRON4 for close to 3 years.
