In 1996, Bill joined the University of Missouri-Columbia pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism emphasizing in print. Two years later, he added onto that with some months of further studies at the Imperial College London. He graduated Univerity in 2000 achieving his Bachelor’s degree.

Bill Reiter Career

Early Career

Bill started his career in journalism as a Summer Intern at Telegraph Herald in 1995. In August, the same year, he completed his internship. June, three years later, he joined The Washington Times as a Metro Intern. After three months, he left this internship. After this, he joined Daily Express, London as a Celebrity Desk Intern for 4 months. Right after completing his time there, he joined the Columbia Missourian as a Cops reporter for about 5 months.

After completing his time with Columbia Missourian, Bill Reiter joined St. Louis Post Dispatch as a Metro Intern. He worked there for about 4 months and left in August of 1999. A while after, he did another internship at the Chicago Tribune. After this, he completed his studies at the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2000.

Professional Career

Right after graduating, he started his professional career as a Metro General Assignment Reporter at the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette from February 2001. He worked there for almost exactly 2 years then moved to the Des Moines Register still working as a General Assignment Reporter. He worked for the network for about three years and 6 months before moving to The Kansas City Star.

Sports Reporting

Bill Reiter’s role at The Kansas City Star marked his transition to sports as a journalist. He worked on the network as a sports enterprise reporter for about 4 years and 4 months.

After that, he joined Fox Sports Radio as a host. After about 2 and a half years on the channel, he joined Fox Sports 1. He started off as a National Columnist from October 2010 to January 2014. During this time, he covered major sports in the NBA and NFL, the Super Bowl, Major League Baseball’s All-Star Game, the 2012 London Olympics and the Jerry Sandusky scandal. In August 2016, he left this role and joined CBS Sports Radio 8 months later. He hosted the radio show “Reiter Than You” on the channel. Before this, he had joined CBS Sports as the host of “Reiter’s Block” from January 2016 to date.
