She joined KTTC NewsCenter and FOX 47 News as a Multimedia Journalist in July of 2018. In addition to her reporting duties, she anchors FOX 47 News at 9 p.m. on Friday evenings.
She is a recent graduate of Bethel University in Arden Hills with a B.A. degree in Journalism and minors in Theatre Arts and Media Production. As part of her college experience, Beret studied in the journalism program at The Kings College in New York during the Spring of 2017. While there, she worked on interviews and for Playbill as an editorial intern.
In her senior year at Bethel, Beret interned KARE-11 in Golden Valley. She shadowed and worked with MJs at KARE and gained a lot of hands-on experience in their newsroom. Beret also served as the Managing Editor of The Clarion, Bethel University’s newspaper. Before assuming that leadership role in 2017 she was the Features Editor for the paper. She is a native of Chaska and began her reporting career in the summer of 2016 as an intern reporter for The Chaska Herald.
When she’s not on deadline, you can find her drinking massive amounts of coffee, attending a musical, singing scales in the newsroom (until her E.P. tells her to stop) or spending time with her family.
