Barry Zito Music

In 1999, Barry started playing guitar as a way of passing time on road trips. At that time he had not considered music as a profession until when his sister Sally Zito asked him to play guitar in her country band with which he played during the offseason from 2002 to 2007. It was then that he later began writing songs in preparation for a career after baseball.

Barry’s 2015 comeback bid, saw him play the majority of the season in Nashville, Tennessee, the home of country music and he used his time off to learn from the city’s music industry professionals and to pursue songwriting.

On January 27, 2017, he released his first EP titled, No Secrets, which contains six songs either written or co-written by Barry. Barry later co-wrote and sang vocals for a theme song for the Nashville Sounds, titled “That Sound”.
