Arthur Edwards Biography
Edwards is a photographer working for Sun newspaper who specializes in pictures of the Royal family with whom he has toured often. Arthur was awarded the MBE Queens new year honors list for his services to the newspaper industry as a Photographer. So Arthur Edwards MBE is now also an honorary doctor of arts, a degree awarded for his services to photography and journalism.
The citation said that Arthur work has given the British public a remarkable insight into the working and personal life of the Queen family. He has been working for the royal family as a photographer in the sun since 1977. Arthur has been photographing the British Royal family for nearly four years and is Responsible for many of their most iconic and intimate images.
He was born at the end of London. He lived by the docks and many of his schoolmates went on to become dockers but his mother wanted more for her children. she bought him his first camera a Rolleiflex for his 18th birthday. His mother was an office cleaner and it was a huge amount of money for her to find to get that camera for Arthur.

He was enjoying himself shooting cricket football and general news. Then one Sunday morning he walked into the newsroom and sitting there was James who had just become a royal correspondent. He went and took a cracking shot of the prince, and the next day it was in the paper. then his editor Larry decided it was time to look for the Queen.
Edwards Early life
Arthur was born in August and educated at St Bernard’s Grammar school, his mother worked as a cleaner and bought him his first camera after saving from her wages. He as a castaway on BBC radio program on September 25, 2011. Edwards was made a member of the order of the British Empire ”outstanding service to newspapers and was awarded an honorary doctorate.
