Alyx Sacks Biography

Alyx Sacks is an American anchor for KCCI 8 This Morning Weekends and a morning reporter during the week. She joined KCCI 8 News in April of 2015 after working for KRNV News 4 in Reno, Nevada. 
Sacks says she’s thrilled to be in Des Moines and working with a great group of journalists and people. She says she is excited to experience Iowa and get to know the community. She is a proud University of Nevada, Reno alumni. She graduated in 2011 with a degree in both Broadcast Journalism and Sociology. She also played soccer for the Wolf Pack. Alyx is also an outdoor enthusiast and sports fan.

Alyx Sacks Husband-Children

Alyx tied knots with Matthew on May 2017. They together have one kid by the name Harrison who was born on 22nd April. The kid is 9 pounds, 5 ounces and 20.5 inches long. Alyx said Harrison is as healthy as can be. She added that he is a big cuddle bug and makes the sweetest noises.

Alyx Sacks Early and Education

Sacks come from Des Moines via Reno, Nevada. Although she calls the Biggest Little City home, she is thrilled to start a new Midwest adventure. Sacks is a proud Nevada University, Reno alumni with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and sociology. Sacks also played soccer for the Wolf Pack from Nevada. She was named Women’s Soccer Wolf Pack Strength and Conditioning Athlete of the Year in 2008-2009 and was named four times Academic All-WAC.

 Alyx Sacks Career

This is the third television market for Sacks. She started her career as a multi-media journalist for NBC Montana in Butte, Montana. She then returned as a morning reporter, fill-in forecaster, and anchor for News 4 to Reno, Nevada in 2012. Sacks also spent a college football season on the sideline of Nevada in 2013 reporting sideline for Wolf Pack Football on ESPN radio. Sacks is a fan of sports and outdoor enthusiasts. So in Central Iowa, she’s feeling right at home! She says she looks forward to being part of this great community.

Alyx Sacks Personal Interests

Alyx has interests in Hiking, running, CrossFit, Bikram Yoga, skiing, trips to the lake, spending time with family and friends among others.
